Duntocher Dental Nurse All Smiles After Losing Two Stone
A dental nurse from Duntocher is hoping to inspire other people in Clydebank to lose weight after shedding two stone and dropping several dress sizes.
Janine Dooley, now 22, decided to try and lose weight after her 21st birthday; at the time, she could hardly bare to look in the mirror and hated having photographs taken as a result of her size; she also felt self-conscious in public and would avoid social engagements. Janine joined Slimming World and lost two stone.
Talking to the local newspaper last week, Janine said that she felt much happier and more confident after dropping a few dress sizes and she is now hoping to inspire other people to try and lose weight. She enjoyed the Slimming World process so much and found it so helpful that she has become a Slimming World consultant and is now helping others through their weight loss journey; she holds sessions on Mondays at 7.30 pm at the Goldenhill pub.
Last week was her first session and she had 20 new members, which was really promising; she said that her own experiences enable her to understand what people are going through and she can offer advice and encouragement.
Janine said that she no longer feels worried or ashamed when she looks in the mirror and she is enjoying a more active social life.
