Dentists Urged to Re-register in Fiji

Sample News Big

All dentists and doctors in Fiji have been encouraged to complete their registration before the deadline of 31st January.

Doctors and dentists must register before this date in order to have their licences renewed. All licences will expire on the 31st January and anyone who has not registered in time will be prohibited from practising until their licence has been renewed.

Dharmendra Prasad, CEO of the Fiji Medical and Dental Secretariate, said that it was imperative that all professionals follow the registration process in order to continue practising. All papers must be received by the 31st January at the latest and it may take some time for the new licences to be processed so submitting in advance is advisable.

Any practitioner who offers treatment without a valid licence will be fined $50,000 and they may even face a 6 month prison sentence. Further information about the registration process is available from the Fiji Medical and Dental Secretariate.
