Dentists in the Philippines will be invited to discover the latest dental technology at a scientific session, which will take place at the Manila Peninsula Hotel on Monday 6th February between 8am and 5pm. The event is being hosted by the University of the Philippines Dental College.

Event organisers say that the session is an opportunity for dentists and students to see and learn about the very latest advances and innovations in dentistry. They have also planned a Research Methodology and Research Design workshop, which will be open to faculty members and graduates of the dental school, however, the workshop will be limited to thirty people.

The scientific session is just the start of a week of celebrations held in recognition of the school’s 97th anniversary. Alumni from the dental college are also expected to gather to hear the keynote speaker, Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos-Recto at the UP Balay ng Alumni in Diliman, Quezon City, on the 10th February between 3 and 10pm.

A symposium on ‘Mastering Soft and Hard Tissue Management: A Patient Centered Approach for Maximum Gains’ will be open to all dentists. The symposium will feature some of the world’s leading specialists, including Dr Regina Santos-Morales, from the Philppines, Professor Ian Meyers, from Australia and Professor Fridus van der Weijden from Holland.
