Dentists celebrate at 70s themed awards
Dentists from across the UK celebrated in 70s style for this year’s Dentistry Awards.
On Friday 4 December 2009 more than 500 oral health professionals donned their flares at The Athena, Leicester, to celebrate the achievements of their peers.
Split into nine regions the awards recognised the Best Young Dentist, the Best Team and the Best Practice from each region.
Guests were treated to a host of different entertainments including roller-skating dancers, a DJ that played from an old Mini, a car wash style entrance to the event and loads of music and costumes from the 70s.
Comedian Paul Thorne, who is a resident member of the Cutting Edge team, compared the event.
