Dentistry From The Heart In Bozeman Montana

Sample News Big

A Bozeman dentist in the US State of Montana will be offering free dental treatment to needed patients this Friday.

The Dentistry from the Heart will be the first free dental event the Hays Dental Group has held, with many of the dentists unsure of what the day will hold.

Christopher Hall, one of the practices dentists, said that he knew of many, many people who would attend the event and expected to see lines much earlier than the practice opened.

Dentistry from the Heart allows low income patients the chance to receive the dental examination and care they need, with many suffering for years with dental problems, but unable to afford the high costs for treatment.

Those working at the Hays Dental Group clinic hoped to serve at least 100 to 150 people, which far exceeds their usual number of daily patients, which in general is just 30. Extra volunteer staff have been recruited to help with the extractions, fillings and cleanings.

It is also hoped that word has reached many of the local homeless, who may have gone many, many years without care. Jen Collins of the Homeless Outreach programme HRDC said that many people had heard of the event and that it was sure to make a positive difference.

The time allocated for the event is 7:30am until around 5pm, with patients seen on a first come first serve basis.

Access to dental care in America is divided into those who can and those who can’t afford it. Extra money is to be put into the country’s Medicaid system to allow those on a lower income afford dental care, but it is felt that free dental events such as today’s will still be necessary for many years to come.
