Dentist Killed In Family Shooting In France

Sample News Big

A dentist, her husband and her mother have been killed in a shooting incident at one of France’s most iconic beauty spots.

Mrs Iqbal Hilli, a dentist from Claygate, Surrey, was shot and killed at Lake Annecy, along with her husband and mother and a cyclist who happened to be in the area at the time. The couple’s daughters, aged 8 and 4 are still alive and receiving treatment in a French hospital. The younger girl was only discovered eight hours after the other bodies were found and it has been revealed that she was hiding among the dead bodies of her family.

Police in France are currently trying to work out a motive for the fatal attack; Mr Hilli has been praised by neighbours as an honest and decent man and there is believed to be no suspicions surrounding his job as a mechanical engineer, which people close to him described as “very civilian” and “not at all secretive.” Speaking to journalists, the friend, who referred to himself only as James, said that Mr Hilli was a dear friend and a “perfect father.”

Other friends and members of the Claygate community have spoken of their devastation at the news, which has rocked the UK.
