Dentist gives rowing club something to smile about
Members of Warrington Rowing Club are celebrating after they were given a brand new rowing boat by Gavin Laidlaw from Dental Solutions in Lymm.
The new boat was unveiled on the same day as the team celebrated 15 wins at the annual regatta on the River Mersey. The new boat will be named ‘Smile Like You Mean It’ in recognition of Mr Laidlaw’s generous donation.
Richard Sinott, the club Chairman thanked Gavin Laidlaw for his generosity and praised his continued support of the rowing club; he hopes that the new boat will inspire the team to continue their winning streak. The club has enjoyed great success in recent years and the new boat will help to make the team even more competitive in the future.
Gavin Laidlaw said he was delighted to hand over the new Smile Like You Mean It boat and praised the ongoing efforts of the club to encourage young people in the area to get involved in rowing.
