Dentist develops tooth identity chip

An American dentist has invented a new micro-chip which can be placed inside your tooth and holds the keys to your identity.

Dr Kevin Brunski, who has patent pending on the I-Denti-Fied chip, developed the implant which will store a 16 digit number which is unique to each individual person.

The chip can be scanned using a hand held device and this number will unlock a person’s medical records.

Dr Brunski developed the microchip after he saw a story about a missing child on the news and felt his dog’s microchip.

He said that he put two and two together and begun to develop the human chip so lost and abducted children could be identified easily if found.

I-Denti-Fied, for which Dr Brunski forfeited his 20-year career in dentistry to develop, has now been approved for implanting into dentures by the US’s Food and Drug Administration.

The doctor is also in the process of gaining approval to have the chip, which is the size of a grain of rice, to be implanted into live teeth and dental bridges.

The chip is implanted into teeth which regularly experience decay. It is then filled with ordinary filling resin.

It costs around $150 and the information it contains can be updated via a website.
