Dentist burglars arrested.
A man and a woman from Anaheim have been arrested in connection with a spate of dental laboratory robberies.
Officers arrested 38-year-old Matthew Marchman and Shawna Lerer, 29, both from Costa Mesa, on Sunday 3 January 2010 as they suspect them of stealing precious metals from Dental laboratories.
Anaheim police sergeant Rick Martinez said the metals were the type used to fill tooth cavities.
It has been alleged that the pair had robbed 18 dental laboratories all over Orange County in the last two month.
They were arrested after a patrol officer noticed Marchman discarding a crowbar in the vicinity of two laboratories in the 700 block area of North Valley Street while Lerer waited nearby in a white Chrysler Sebring.
Once caught, investigators reportedly found evidence on the suspects which connected them to several lab burglaries.
The duo are now being held at Anaheim Detention Facility.
