The team at Brightside Dental Care in Portage la Prairie in Canada, are taking on Movember, a moustache growing challenge, to raise money for charity.

Movember is a global challenge, which men from all over the globe participate in, to raise money for good causes and raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer. In recent years, thousands of men have refrained from shaving throughout the month of November to increase the profile of prostate cancer and raise money for charities that support people affected by prostate cancer.

Lucy Harris, from the marketing department of Brightside Dental Care, said that the whole team is backing the campaign, with male members of staff growing their moustaches, while female members of the team are getting involved by baking moustache-shaped cookies and making jewellery to sell.

The team has also invited the local community to get involved with the campaign and anyone who wants to support the team can visit the Movember website and search for the Brightside office.

The original target was $500 but the team had already raised $400 after three days, so the target is now to be increased.
