A dental team from Lyme Regis took to the greens, to host a golf tournament to raise money for charity.

The team from Lyme Bay Dentistry hosted its second annual golf day to raise money for Help for Heroes, a charity that raises money for the armed forces.

Organisers said that the event was a huge success and great fun and the gold tournament raised a total of £1,774.60. The winning golfers won a Porsche for the weekend, a prize donated by Porsche Exeter. There were also a number of raffle prizes, which were donated by local businesses.

Ingrid Godfrey, from Lyme Bay Dentistry, thanked all the competitors and the sponsors for making the event such a success. Many of the businesses in the area got behind the dental team and Lyme Regis Golf Club provided an excellent setting for the event.

Phil Bennett, a dentist at the practice, added that everyone had a great day at the tournament, especially as the sun was out and everyone was in great spirits and committed to supporting Help for Heroes, which is a very worthy cause.
