A team from dental manufacturing firm, A-dec, took on a gruelling bike challenge to raise money for charity.

The team of 13 battled strong winds and difficult terrain to complete the famous Coast2Coast bike challenge; the course is 151 miles and the team completed the ride in just three days. The dental team set off from Whitehaven in Cumbria and cycled all the way to Tynemouth on the East coast.

Along the way the team encountered injuries, tricky terrain, poor weather conditions and steep hills but, fuelled by energy drinks and bananas they had the will to succeed and  finished the challenge together on the 2nd May.

The team took the challenge on to raise money for Bridge2Aid, a charity which supports dental projects in Tanzania and a number of UK-based charities.

The team is hoping to raise £7,500 for Bridge2Aid; any donations will be gratefully received.
