Dental Product Sales Increase as New Products Hit the Market

Recent years have seen an influx of sales in dentistry related products as a wealth of new teeth related products hit the shelves of shops throughout the country.
The recent bout of dentistry products and increased sales come as Britain’s are taking greater care for their oral health.
The last few years has seen a rise in mouthwash sales, which have risen 77% since 2003, Mintel state that we, as a nation, spend £158 Million every year on mouthwash.
Mintel have also seen an increase in sales of ‘dental ancillaries’ which include products such as teeth whitening strips and tongue scrapers.
A Mintel spokesperson said: “Sales of whitening toothpastes have grown by £8m. You can also buy interdental brushes, which clean tricky gaps between teeth.”
The dental market has also seen the introduction of a tooth mouthwash, said to be more effective than regular flossing methods, and at a price of £30, is designed to fire pressurised spray of water in between teeth and remove plaque. 
For those who prefer to treat teeth whilst ‘on-the-go’ can even purchase a lip gloss designed in the US that allows for users to whiten their teeth by using the attatched wand to apply the product directly to their teeth.
Or if you have the funds, dental patients can opt for a complete ‘smile makeover’ for a whopping £40,000, however, this includes orthodontic work, gum reshaping with lasers and having your teeth covered with veneers.
It is clear that oral health and care for teeth has become increasingly important to the British public as people search for that perfect smile.
