Dental Nurse Wins Valentine’s Competition
A dental nurse from Sheffield had plenty to smile about after winning a valentine’s competition in The Star newspaper.
Rachel Colley and her boyfriend, Paul Turner were treated to tickets to the theatre to see West End hit, Legally Blonde, a pre-show meal at the Crucible Corner restaurant and an overnight stay at the Leopold Hotel complete with champagne and breakfast in bed.
Rachel also won a makeover at the Dior counter at John Lewis and a bunch of flowers. The romantic treats are a far cry from the couple’s normal Valentine’s Day celebrations, which usually include watching a DVD and having a meal at home.
Rachel said that she was planning to take her mum to the theatre if she won the runner-up prize, which was tickets to the show, however, when she found out she had scooped the top prize, she quickly changes her plans and organised a baby-sitter for the couple’s young son, Samuel.
Rachel said she was over the moon with the win and added that she has never won anything before.
Legally Blonde opened at the Lyceum Theatre yesterday and is scheduled to run until the 25th February. The show has already received rave reviews from theatre-goers in London.
