Dental Nurse Named ‘Best Dressed’ On Ladies Day At Cheltenham Festival

A dental nurse beat off competition from thousands of fellow race-goers to be crowned ‘best dressed’ on Ladies’ Day at Cheltenham.

Yesterday, dental nurse, Charlotte Hamilton, from Pittville, was awarded the ‘best outfit’ prize, alongside Mary Heron, who won ‘best accessory’ and Lystra Adams, who won ‘best hat’.

Charlotte said she was absolutely delighted with the prize, which was a huge shock, as she was not even planning to wear the outfit, but decided to go with it after seeing the weather forecast. With temperatures just creeping above freezing and an icy wind, Charlotte opted for a warm coat, fur scarf, hat and gloves and her chic outfit caught the eye of the judging panel.

Charlotte was presented with a bottle of bubbly from Cotswold farmer, Adam Henson, to celebrate.

The Ladies’ Day crowd was treated to an exemplary performance by one of the world’s finest hurdlers, Spinter Sacre, who tore through the field to storm home several lengths in front of its nearest rival to the joy of punters and the despair of bookmakers.
