Dental hygienist helps Philippines orphans
A Clearwater Country oral health professional is embarking on a trip to help orphaned children in the Philippines.
Monique Judkins, who works as a dental hygienist at Gentle Family Dentistry in Orofino, will be travelling to Mindanao, a small island in the Philippines, to improve dental health for the local communities.
On the two week excursion, which begins on 21 April 2010, Monique and the team also plan dig a ditch around and repaint Hope House.
To raise money to fund the trip, Monique and the Philippines team are hosting fundraisers on Sunday 6 and Monday 7 December 2009 by delivering hot donuts and coffee to local businesses and families.

In May 2008, Monique and Don, her husband, along with 14 other workers visited Bucharest in Romania to help 65 orphaned children.
