Dental firm given council grant
Knowsley council has awarded a dental firm a grant as part of a new initiative to support small businesses.
Knowsley Council launched the Small Business Growth Grant scheme to support local businesses who cannot find funding from other organisations; Quantum Dental was one of three businesses to be awarded a grant.
Quantum, a Tarbock-based dental firm, which manufactures dental bridges, gold teeth and crowns, was given a grant for £2745 to buy a casting machine. The company will now be able to provide training for technicians and two new jobs will be created.
Janet Edwards, from Quantum Dental, said that the company was looking to expand but they could not find funding; the grant is a brilliant opportunity for the company and will enable them to move onwards and upwards and create two new jobs.
