Dental Check-ups Get Skipped when Jobs Are Lost

With the unemployment rate up, dental check-up are among the first things to get neglected. Data presented for two U.S. cities, Spokane and Seattle, Washington, (1995-2004) has revealed that for every 10,000 individuals that lost their jobs, 1.24% less people in Spokane went to the dentist for routine check-ups. For 0,000 individuals that lost their jobs, 6% less people in Seattle went to the dentist for regular dental check-ups. The results of this study indicate that unemployment has a significant effect on regular dental check-ups!
