A dental charity has donated $20,000 to

Oral Health America awarded the grant to the Deamonte Driver Dental Project, which aims to improve the oral health of communities in Prince George’s County.

The project, which is based in schools, was set up after Deamonte Driver, 12, died in 2007 after an infection caused by a tooth abscess spread to his brain.

Congressman Elijah Cummings said that America learnt a painful lesson when Driver died and added that all children without access to quality dental care were at risk.

She claimed that grant would ensure that children from Prince George’s County would now receive vital care to protect them against oral diseases.

The money was made available by Smiles Across America, who have committed to providing $1.5million to dental charities during the next three years, and Trident Gum.

Hello, I am a Sickle Cell Anemia sufferer that has been on several types of medications throughout the years. This has caused severe discoloration to my teeth and also caused my teeth not to grow properly. (they look like baby’s teeth)

I am asking for your help to give me back my smile. I was placed on medication for depression and saw seeing a psychiatrist for my illness. My lack of self esteem and embarassment are partly due to the way I look when I smile.

I am on Social Security Disability and would like to find a dentist that will accept my type of insurance for porcalin veneers or any other type of cosmetic surgery that would help me.

Please reply, even if you cannot help me.

Sincerly,

G.W
