Debra Byrne Appeals for Help on Facebook to Fund Bangkok Dental Treatment
Former child actor Debra Byrne has taken to social media sites to try and raise money to fund dental treatment abroad. The former star of Young Talent Time has asked fans and friends on Facebook to donate money towards the cost of her dental treatment, which she plans to undergo in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Australian TV star wrote a message on the popular social media site urging people to donate towards the cost of treatment fees and advertising the plea as a challenge for her friends and followers. The 58 year old, who has recently starred in Fat Tony and Co revealed that she had already had treatment prior to filming, but needed to return to Bangkok to undergo bridge work. She informed fans that she was unable to afford the cost of a flight for her and her children.
Debra Byrne started acting in her childhood years and has since starred in Home and Away, the Secret Life of Us and Fat Tony and Co, which airs on Channel 9 in Australia. The actress was asking for people to help out with flights from Melbourne to Phuket.
The dental tourism trade has really taken off in Thailand in recent years and is particularly popular among those travelling from Australia and New Zealand looking for lower prices.
