Cumbernauld dental practice has new owner
A dental practice in Cumbernauld, Dunbartonshire has a new owner.
The practice principals, Scott Edwards and Howard Smith, have sold the practice to associate dentist, Jane O’Toole, a first-time buyer.
The business, which was established in 1980, attracted eleven offers. Ms O’Toole has been an associate at The Village Dental Surgery since 2014 and previous owners, Scott and Howard said they were delighted to pass the reins onto their colleague. She shares the same values and is a pair of safe hands for the future.
The sale, which was overseen by Christie and Co, attracted a lot of interest, with eleven offers on the table, all of which exceeded the asking price. Ms O’Toole’s offer wasn’t the highest in terms of monetary value, but the principals felt that it was the best option for the practice. They will stay on as associates at The Village Dental Surgery and are looking forward to continuing to work with Jane and the rest of the team.
Speaking about the acquisition, Ms O’Toole said that she was thrilled to be the new owner and thanked Scott and Howard for their support and guidance throughout her career. She is excited about the future of the practice and will steer the ship based on the same core values and culture instilled in the workforce by the previous owners.
