The justice department has ordered a dental management firm to pay $24million after unneeded painful procedures were performed on children.

Nashville –based Forba Holdings LLC paid the gigantic sum to settle allegations that it provided substandard and unnecessary services to kids.

The company serves children from low-income families that are insured by Medicaid.

It also owns 69 Small Smiles dental clinics across the US.

Assistant to the attorney general Tony West said that Forba had performed unneeded painful procedures on youngsters and is now paying the price.
