Colgate will be organising and running a UK road show throughout September as part of its Oral Health Month. The company aims to use to road show to help raise the awareness concerning the importance of good oral hygiene and care standards.

The company aims to visit major retailers across the UK, where advice concerning tooth-brushing techniques and general oral healthcare will be given out by hygienists and therapists. The road show comes as part of the larger objectives set out for the Oral Health Month, which aims to encourage more visits to dentists, the reduction of sugar in diets and better oral healthcare practices. These three points have been labelled as the theme for the 2010 campaign, with the title “Discover Three Essentials for an Even Healthier Mouth.”

It is predicted that over ninety percent of UK practices will partake in the Oral Health Month initiative, which is being organised alongside the British Dental Association, and that communications between dental professionals and patients will be improved. Each practice taking part will be issued with a practice pack containing educational materials and motivational materials that will be used to promote the campaigns messages.

The campaign starts in September across the United Kingdom.
