Coleraine Dental Hygienist Short-Listed For Prestigious Awards
A dental hygienist from Coleraine is preparing to travel to London after finding out that she has been nominated for two awards.
Laura King is going to be attending the UK Dental Hygiene and Therapy Awards at London’s Barbican on the 24th January after being short-listed for two national awards: Best Young Hygienist and Best Young Therapist under 30 as well as the award for the Best Treatment of Nervous Patients.
In an interview with the Coleraine Times, Laura said that she was shocked, but absolutely delighted to be nominated for two awards. She is a Dundee University graduate and has now been working at her father Robert’s dental practice for almost three years. She added that the comments from the judging panel were incredible and she is now very excited about attending the awards ceremony in London.
Laura works as a dental hygienist and therapist and said her job is very rewarding; there are not many around and she feels that is able to offer a wide range of services to patients at the practice, which is located on Railway Road.
Laura also thanked her father, Robert, and the rest of the team for all their help and support.
