The Clyde Munro team had plenty to smile about on Monday 22nd August after officially opening the first SureSmile Studio in the UK.

The group, which is the largest dental provider in Scotland, has spent over £1 million developing the state-of-the-art practice and training facility in the centre of Perth. The clinic has opened in premises formerly occupied by the British Linen Bank, creating a brand new, cutting-edge dental centre, which could be the first of many SureSmile studios in the UK.

Clyde Munro has joined forces with Dentsply Sirona to rollout SureSmile clear aligner technology at speed. The innovative technology straightens the teeth, offering a modern, convenient alternative to traditional, fixed braces.

Fiona Wood, chief operating officer at Clyde Munro, said that she was “delighted” to open the new Perth practice, which is likely to be the first of a raft of new centres across the UK. She described SureSmile technology as “a marvellous innovation, which will truly transform the way we deliver essential oral care” and provide a “dental experience like no other.”

The Perth studio will focus on SureSmile tooth straightening, highlighting the latest orthodontic treatments from Dentsply Sirona, a global leader in dental product design and manufacturing.

Francois Loiseau, general manager and vice president of Dentsply Sirona UK, described the partnership with Clyde Munro as a “new and exciting venture,” which would enable the company to reach a “wider audience” and showcase “superior aligner technology and expertise to new customers across Scotland.”

Patients from across the country have already started making appointments at the brand new Perth SureSmile facility.
