Scotland’s largest dental chain is continuing on its mission to grow and expand after acquiring a pioneering dental implant centre in Edinburgh.

Clyde Munro, which now operates almost 50 practices around the country, has added Fairmilehead Dental Practice & Implant Centre to its portfolio. Founded by implant expert, Dr Duncan Robertson, the practice provides an opportunity for the group to develop and roll out implant services across Scotland.

Under the terms of the agreement, Dr Robertson will become an integral part of the chain’s development group for at least the next two years as the firm looks to expand implant services and provide access to expert treatment for a growing number of patients.

Fairmilehead Dental Practice was established in 2003 and it currently offers services for around 3,000 private patients in addition to NHS treatment for children.

Dr Robertson said that he had considered several companies before deciding to join Clyde Munro as he wanted to make the right decision after investing more than 20 years into providing patients with pioneering dental implant treatment.

Clyde Munro shared the same vision and Dr Robertson is now looking forward to working with the team to drive implant services forward in Scotland. Although the uniforms may be different, Dr Robertson assured patients that everything else will remain the same at the practice.
