Cigna UK Launches New Dental Discounts
Cigna UK HealthCare Benefits has launched new dental discounts, with reductions of up to 20 per cent available for a range of private dental treatments.
The 20 per cent discount is available on treatments that are covered by Cigna dental plans, as well as those that may not be included in existing plans, such as tooth whitening.
The new ‘healthy discounts’ scheme will be added to Cigna dental plans for new clients immediately and the firm has also confirmed that it will be contacting existing members to inform them of the new benefits for members in renewal letters and emails throughout the coming year.
Cigna claims that the new initiative will help to encourage patients to see their dentist more regularly, as well as making treatment more affordable.
Cigna has joined forces with Munroe Sutton, the largest promoter of health plans in the USA and marketer for the Healthy Discounts network of dentists in the UK.
Kirsty Jagielko, head of product management at Cigna UKHB, said that recent surveys had confirmed that employers are taking notice of the affordability of dental treatment and most are aware that some of their employees are struggling to afford dental fees. The new discounts are designed to make treatment more affordable and promote regular dental visits.
