Chiswick dentist completes charity mission in Vietnam
A dentist from Chiswick has returned from a successful charity mission in Vietnam.
Dr Raffaella Gabassi, visited Vietnam as part of a team organised by the non-profit organisation, DDS4Kids; the aim of the mission was to provide much-needed dental care for adults and children living in poverty in Vietnam.
During the trip, the team of volunteers talked to over 3,000 children and provided treatment for almost 2000 of them; the team provided routine dental treatment, as well as taking time to talk to the children and their parents and families about oral health and oral hygiene.
Dr Gabassi paid for the trip herself and said that the experience was very challenging but also very rewarding; she also thanked patients and friends for their kind donations, which went towards buying equipment and supplies for the trip.
