Chicago dental charity helps in Nepal
A Chicago dental charity is hosting a variety of fundraising events to help Guatemalan and Nepalese people.
Climb For A Cause (CFAC) will be holding a variety of outdoor events on 5 September 2010 in the Three Sisters Region near Bend, Ore.
The events will see a number of dental professionals including general clinicians, surgeons, office staff, consultants and dental manufacturers assemble to take part in rock climbing, kayaking and caving.
The funds raised will be help finance CFAC dental treatment and education schemes in Guatemala and Nepal and other US-based dental causes.
CFAC’s exec director Daniel Bobrow said that the charity’s goal for this year was to adequately equip local Guatemalan and Nepalese people to treat their underserved neighbours.
He added that CFAC was trying to raise $100,000 through this year’s events.
Urging people to take part, Bobrow claimed that participants in the events would need no prior experience in any of the activities just a desire to help others.
All the participants will receive one-on-one coaching, marketing support and a special gift.
To request an application to participate in the 2010 event or volunteer for an overseas contact Bobrow via (800) 723-6523 or [email protected].
