Brush-Baby LTD, a company based in Winchester, has received an order from a massive supermarket for its chewable toothbrush for babies.

The company has received a large order from supermarket giant, Tesco and the chewable toothbrush is now set for store shelves across the country.

Company founder and director, Dominique Tillen, said business was really looking up and sales were up to 150 percent higher than the projected target. Tillen also said she felt the company was gaining credibility. The Tesco order could double sales and other large stores may follow suit if the product is successful at Tesco.

The baby brush is made from pliable silicon; it soothes and massages the gums during teething and removes bacteria from between the teeth. The brush can be used with toothpaste or on its own and it retails at £4.99.

The baby brush is already sold in Waitrose, john Lewis and Sainsbury’s.

The company is now planning to expand its range of infant oral hygiene products and is currently working on new products and concepts. The new range of products will be launched early next year. Ms Tillen founded the company after her daughter Lulu seemed keen to chew her toothbrush than brush with it while Dominique was teaching her how to use the brush. She developed the baby brush to enable children to brush their teeth safely and effectively.
