Cheshire Dentist Receives Prestigious Honour
A dentist from Cheshire has been awarded a prestigious honour in recognition of his professionalism and excellent standards of patient care.
Dr Lester Ellman is one of just three dentists to receive British Dental Association Fellowship this year; the BDA is the UK’s professional association for dentists.
Dr Ellman has been practising for almost 50 years; since qualifying in 1964, he has worked in the North West, spending 30 years in Manchester before moving to the Smiles by Design practice in Chester.
Dr Ellman is the former chairman of the BDA’s General Dental committee, which represents high street dentists. Dr Ellman is also a member of the council for his local branch of the BDA and he was chairman of the Trafford Local Dental Committee for 14 years.
Frank Holloway, president of the British Dental Association, said that it is a pleasure to be able to celebrate Dr Ellman’s illustrious career and added that the dental profession should be proud of his amazing achievements.
The awards will be given out at a ceremony in London in November.
