A dentist from Hale,Cheshire, is preparing to take part in a charity walk to raise money for a local hospice.

Sharon Till took part in the Manchester Midnight Walk last year and is now gearing up for this year’s challenge. The 10 kilometre route is set out through Manchester city centre and hundreds of people will join together before midnight to walk in aid of St Ann’s Hospice. This year’s walk will take place on Friday 21st June.

Sharon will be walking with her twin daughters, Isobel and Holly, who are 15 years old and colleagues from Dash Dental in Northenden. The Dash Dental team is made up of Lisa Davies, Matthew Hetherington, Damian O’Shea and Jodie Austin.

The dentist said that she is looking forward to the walk, as the practice is a keen supporter of local charities and the Midnight Walk is a great opportunity to support the local community, as well as a chance to promote team work.

The Midnight Walk is sponsored by estate agent, JP & Brimelow and has raised more than £1.6 million for the hospice, over the course of the last 6 years.

The walk starts at 11.30 at Manchester Central, but entertainment will be provided from 9pm by Key 103 radio station. The route features Granada Studios,Manchester University, Manchester Cathedral and Castlefield and walkers are encouraged to light a candle in the Garden of Remembrance.
