Carlisle Councillors Approve Dental Practice Move

Plans to relocate Eden Dental Practice have been approved by Carlisle City Council.

The practice, which is currently located on Warwick Road, will move to Brunel Way in Durranhill.

Principal dentist Liz Mather explained that the new site offers improved parking facilities and better access for disabled patients. The new facility is also larger and can house more surgeries. The Warwick Road centre has space for five surgeries and this will increase to eight once the move has been completed.

Dr Mather opened Eden Dental Practice in 2003. She has worked hard to establish a reputation and ensure that local patients receive the highest possible standards of care. The practice is an NHS referral centre and Dr Mather is hoping she will be able to increase the number of places available following the relocation.

There is no exact date planned for the move yet, but Dr Mather insists that patients will be notified as soon as possible.

Initially, the opening hours will reflect traditional working hours. However, as the new surgery is located on an industrial estate, there may be scope to extend hours and offer evening and weekend surgeries in the future.

In a statement provided by Matthew Deering Architects, the new practice claims to offer extensive parking facilities and improved access. There are good transport links to the estate, meaning that the surgery can serve patients from a number of local villages and towns.
