Brough Dentist Celebrates Prestigious Award
A dentist from Brough, East Yorkshire, is celebrating after winning a prestigious award.
Dr Chris Maher, from the East Yorkshire Dental Studios, was awarded the General Practitioner of 2013 award at the British Endodontic Society Awards in recognition of his clinical expertise, which was demonstrated by a paper outlining the work he carried out on ten complex root canal cases.
Dr Maher said that he was extremely honoured to win the award; he is now looking forward to attending the ceremony in Birmingham next month, where he will collect the prize.
In addition to the award, the East Yorkshire Dental Studios will also receive £1000 worth of vouchers, which can be used to buy new dental equipment.
Dr Maher has completed the first year of a three-year Master’s programme in Endodontics and is looking forward to starting his second year.
Owner and principal dentist at the East Yorkshire Dental Studios, Jason Spence, said that the whole team is very proud of Chris and his amazing achievements and added that winning the prize was a “real coup.”
