The winner of Britain’s Got Talent has spoken about how pleased he is with his new teeth.

Paul Potts, a former Carphone Warehouse employee, told Piers Morgan about how winning the television show has changed his life, reports the Sun.

"Someone offered to give me a full set of veneers so I jumped at the chance," he said. "And I love them because they’ve given me so much more confidence about smiling."

The 37-year-old, who recently tripped up on US chat show Oprah, had previously had broken teeth and said he was badly bullied while growing up.

Last year, the singer, who wowed audiences with his operatic voice, told Hello! magazine that the £100,000 he won from the competition would go towards paying off his mortgage.

In the Sun interview, Morgan commented that Potts appeared to have a bit more of a showbiz haircut.

However, Potts replied that it had cost him just £16.ADNFCR-1374-ID-18548850-ADNFCR
