Boy dies after undergoing dental treatment
A five year old boy has died after undergoing dental treatment, it has been announced.
The boy, who has been identified by the medical examiner’s office as David Liddell, from Atlanta, died on Friday. The five year old was at a dental surgery in south Atlanta when he apparently suffered a seizure following the completion of dental treatment; he was rushed to the Children’s Hospital of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding but he died later that day.
An investigation is now underway to determine the cause of death; an autopsy was carried out on Saturday and investigators are now waiting for the results of tests and reports. The medical examiner has suggested that the cause of death may be natural causes.
