Boston Residents Reminded of Jubilee Health Services

NHS Lincolnshire has reminded Boston residents of the availability of health services over the Jubilee bank holiday weekend.

GP surgeries will be closed on Monday and Tuesday and the first port of call for patients requiring health services will be the NHS 111 telephone service. Patients will be asked about their symptoms and then referred to the most suitable health service.

Dental practices will also be closed for the bank holiday, but emergency treatment will be available at seven surgeries across the county to ensure that people who suffer from urgent dental problems can get treatment over the weekend.

Dr Martin McShane, from NHS Lincolnshire, said that it was important for people to be aware of the services available to them so that they can make the most of the spring bank holiday and know where to go if they need dental or medical treatment.

A number of pharmacies in the county will also be open. Pharmacists can provide information and advice for minor illnesses and injuries and they can also advise about medications and other treatments. Patients who have minor symptoms are advised to go to their local pharmacy, as GP surgeries will be closed.
