Beverley Dental Practice Receives Prestigious Award
Members of staff at a Beverley dental practice are celebrating after they won a prestigious award.
Perfect 32 won an award in recognition of their commitment to community projects at the My Face My Body Awards. The practice was honoured for supporting community initiatives and local charities and also for working to raise awareness of oral cancer in the local area. Perfect 32 has a screening programme in place and the dental team encourages patients to attend regular routine checks to ensure that cases of oral cancer are diagnosed at an early stage.
Perfect 32 is also working with the Mouth Cancer Foundation to launch a new accredited mouth cancer programme for dentists across the UK.
Nicki Rowland, practice manager, said that it was a great honour to receive the award; she added that everyone is looking forward to launching the scheme in partnership with the Mouth Cancer Foundation to ensure that dental practices have a “robust” screening system in place for patients over the age of 16 years old.
Stephen Handisides, owner of My Face My Body, said that there were many amazing candidates and it was an achievement to make the short-list. The awards were voted for by consumers, which makes them even more special.
