Benson dental practice receives award recognising dedication during the pandemic
A dental team from Benson is all smiles after receiving an award, which recognises dedication to staff and patient health and safety during the pandemic.
The team at Imogen Dental has been awarded the Dental Practice Decontamination Award at the Dental Awards 2021. The award celebrates outstanding commitment to health and hygiene and the introduction of additional measures and protocols to create a safe space for patients and dental staff during the course of the pandemic. The practice was also highly commended in the Website of the Year category.
Dr Neel Tank, practice owner, was presented with the award at a virtual ceremony. Nominees from across the country tuned into the online event.
In a short speech, a spokesperson for the awards said that the staff at Imogen Dental had gone above and beyond to make patients feel safe throughout the pandemic.
At the beginning, when practices closed, the team maintained open communication with patients, even producing a video clip to provide information about how the practice had been modified to promote safety and what patients could do if they needed help or advice.
The practice has consistently complied with protocols and guidelines to keep everyone safe and staff members have gone out of their way to make patients feel welcome and relaxed.
This is the fifth consecutive year the practice has received awards at the event. Previous triumphs include winning the Practice of the Year gong in the regional category.
