Basingstoke Police Appeal For Information After Attack Leaves Man With Dental Injuries

Police in Basingstoke are appealing for information after an incident at a bar, which left a man requiring urgent dental treatment.

Officers are appealing for anyone who has any information about the attack, which took place at Pure Lounge Bar at around 3am on Monday 27th May. A 20 year old man was attacked in what appeared to be an unprovoked incident; the victim, from Ashford Hill, fractured his jaw in two places and required urgent dental treatment.

Police have described the attacker as mixed race with short black hair; he is said to be around 5’4 with a slim build and he has a London accent. CCTV images show the man wearing a blue round-neck sweater with a photographic design on the front, jeans and white trainers. At the time of the incident, the man had removed his sweater and was wearing a black and white t-shirt.

Detective Constable Craig Ferguson said that the victim had been left with severe facial injuries, which would take some time to heal.
