Armagh dental practice to relocate to menswear store

Sample News Big

The owners of a dental practice in Armagh have submitted an application to relocate to premises currently occupied by a menswear store.

Dr James McKee, from William Street Dental, is hoping to move the practice to the neighbouring premises, which currently house McQuillan Menswear. The application is now under consideration by officers at Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.

If the application is approved, the dental clinic will share the unit with the clothing company, which moved to its William Street address in 1974. The owner, Martin McQuillan, reassured fans of the brand that it wouldn’t be closing or relocating, explaining that the premises are much larger than the company needs.

The practice would occupy part of the ground floor of the building, as well as the first floor. The plans indicate that the ground floor would house a treatment room, the reception area, accessible toilets, office space and storage with three further treatment rooms on the first floor. The second storey will also provide a meeting room, a waiting area, toilets, an X-ray room, a laboratory space, offices and facilities for the staff. The third floor would be used for storage.
