Animal Dental Practice Celebrates 10 Years Conquering Patients Fears

Sample News Big

Dr Mark Boulcott ‘The dentist with a difference’ is celebrating ten years of care for dental phobia patients, with a little help from some barnyard friends.

His practice started in Herbrandston, Wales and stands on the Old Rectory grounds while he served with the army as a dental surgeon at Brawdy. The challenge of ‘unique or difficult’ dental cases is what Mark relishes and he decided on an alternative and quirky solution to help people overcome their fears.

Taking a leaf out of Dr Doolittle’s book, Mark rounded up a variety of colourful critters to help put patient’s thoughts at ease. The current inhabitants of the ‘zoo’ include; three diddy micro pigs, six sausage dogs, a ferret, two horses, two terrapins, ducks, geese, Eric the rooster and a couple of chickens.

For adults and children alike, he claims this set-up provides proof of his experiment’s continual success which is plain to see on the faces of his patients, when time and time again they are greeted with a moment of surprise.
