Andrew Lansley set to address dentists

Andrew Lansley, the Secretary of State for Health, will address dentists at the British Dental Conference and Exhibition on Thursday 19th May, it has been confirmed.

 

Mr Lansley will speak on the first day of the conference, which will take place at the Central Convention Complex in Manchester.

 

Mr Lansley will talk about proposed dental reforms in England and answer questions from delegates; there will also be discussion surrounding plans to change commissioning in England.

 

Mr Lansley’s speech will come at a vital time, as pilot programmes associated with new proposals will soon be rolled out in certain areas of England.

 

Dr Susie Sanderson, chief executive of the board of the British Dental Association, said that she was delighted to be welcoming Mr Lansley to the exhibition, as dentists from across the country will be keen to hear about government proposals and measures to improve the current dental care system, which is clearly flawed
