Alliance Dental Care Seek Private Equity To Expand White Dental Chain
At 70 percent, Apollo Hospitals has majority stake in Alliance Dental Group while Trivitron Healthcare holds 30 percent. Jointly, the partners aim to gain private equity funding to expand the White dental chain, previously the Apollo Dental Centre.
The White dental chain comprises a network of 14 dental clinics, 5 dental studios and 1 spa. The dental chain operate in Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai. While the dental clinics are established to serve the local community, the dental studios and spa are positioned to attract clients seeking luxurious cosmetic and wellness care.
The partners aim to create 100 express centres to include dental hygiene, teeth whitening, and pain management in hospitals, clinics, malls and airports by 2014. They intend to expand their network to Delhi. Foreign expansion includes into West Asia by 2013. The lucrative industry is attracting domestic private equity firms that see the potential in growth.
