Aberdeen Dental Centre Plans get the Green Light

Councillors in Aberdeen have given plans to create a new health and dental centre the green light.

The centre is due to be built on the site of the all-weather football pitch at Tillydrone and councillors have already arranged alternative facilities for people who use the pitch.

The planning application was approved by councillors following a site visit by the Development Management sub-committee. John Corall, vice-convener councillor, said that a new health and dental centre will be well-received in the area and the centre will provide important services for local people.

The council will replace the existing pitch with a new one around the corner at Ferrier Crescent and the project will be funded from the money raised by selling the land to NHS Grampian.

Construction is expected to begin on the new health facility in the near future and councillors are looking forward to the local community benefiting from NHS services on their doorstep.
