Places for 10,000 new NHS dental patients will be opening-up across Pendle in 2010.

Five thousand of the places will be available at the three new dental clinics built at the Brierfield Health Centre and a minimum of 4,000 new patients will be able to access care at the newly expanded Dental clinic, Harrison Street, Barnoldswick.

During 2009 3,500 new places were be made available at NHS dental clinics in Nelson, Colne abd Barrowford.

The openings have been masterminded by NHS East Lancashire, who is aiming to tackle the limited access to dentistry issue in the area.

The Dental Clinic is currently being built and will start treating new patients in Spring.
