    Default confidentiality

Please can any of you dentists tell me are you like medical doctors in that you have to take an oath of confidentiality? To what extent are you allowed to talk about a patients treatment or their charachter? Do you have more freedom than a medical doctor? Or is dental in the same ball park.
    cheers in advance
