would my teeth look more natural with composite veneers than having porcelain veneers

Q. My dentist suggested that my teeth would look better with composite veneers. He prefers these to porcelain as they do not involve the lab and he says they give a good result. I am concerned about how long they would last and about potential staining. They only cost £90 per tooth. I am undecided, can you offer me any advise. Thank you

A. Composite veneers are an alternative to porcelain veneers. I personally think that prcelain veneers will create a much more natural effect- providing that the lab technician is good!
Composite veneers can also look good – but it all depends on the quality of the composite system. To create a natural look, the dentist will need to have a good eye for shade matching and have a degree of experience in this. If you are unsure, ask the dentist if you can see some other case photos of some before and after shots.
Porcelain veneers are however more expensive, but they do not stain over time- as composites would do. There are limits to what to expext from composite veneers. If you need further assistance, I would recommend to have a consultation with a renowned cosmetic dentist for the best results. Hope this helps.
