Will silver crown affect tooth it sits on top of?
Q. i have got a silver crown on top of my orginal tooth as the tooth has been cut and grinded to size will this effect my tooth and could i lose my tooth or all my teeth???,
A. the crown would have been placed on top usually for strengthening reasons.the tooth stump underneath will be susceptible to decay over time, more so than your natural teeth and the crown eventually replaced. you are not in danger of losing all your teeth because of the crown
