Will I lose teeth because of mccunes allbrights syndrome?

Q. I have Mc Cunes Allbrights syndrome a chronic condition of the skeleton .I have a problem with my lower left jaw and have already lost one tooth and my dentist has told me i will eventually loose another three teeth which are already loose . She is recommending splints to preserve the teeth but she says i will eventually loose them and it will be very difficult to get false teeth because of my condition. I would very much value your opinion . Thanks Peter,
A. Hello Peter, I anm sorry I am not familiar with this syndrome, however splinting the teeth may just be putting off the inevitable loss of the teeth and the bone holding them in. It might be best to consider removal now and replacement with dental implants as these are more likely to hold the bone in place. You would need to speak to your hospital consultant to see if dental implants are suitable for you first.
